2/1/12  Supervisor Scrivner Delivers State of the County Address (video)
Second District Supervisor Zack Scrivner, Chairman of the Kern County Board of Supervisors for 2012, delivered the fourteenth annual State of the County address to a record crowd of community leaders from throughout Kern County on the evening of January 25. To kick off the holidays, Kern County Animal Control has reduced all adoption fees for dogs and cats. Dogs will be $45 to adopt and cats will be $25 to adopt. For senior pets, adoption fees are even lower - dogs five years and older are $20 and cats three years and older are $10 to adopt. Fees include spay/neuter; first canine and feline vaccinations; free pet exam voucher; microchip; leash and carrier. Dogs four months and older will also receive a Rabies vaccination and a one-year Kern County license.
