Tall Structure Notification

The County adopted an interim ordinance to Section 19.08.160 of the County Ordinance Code on January 27, 2004, which restricts development of structures over 200 feet in height within the Military Low-Level Flight Routes or Corridors, or in any area within the R2508 Complex. Proposed structures over 200 feet tall, within the above-referenced areas, require written concurrence from the appropriate military authorities that the height of the proposed structure would create no significant military mission impacts.

For those structures which do not exceed 200 feet in height, the ordinance also requires prior notification to the military authorities of the development of any proposed structures over 100 feet within the Military Low-Level Flight Routes or Corridors, or in any area within the R2508 Complex. An acceptable form to provide notification to the military authorities, and to be submitted along with the application for building permits, is available in Microsoft Word and in PDF format.
