Established by Board of Supervisors Resolution of November 10, 1947
as West Side County and City Park Recreation and Parkway District, and
reorganized by Board of Supervisors Resolution of January 26, 1960 as the
West Side Recreation & Park District, pursuant to Public Resources
Code Sections 5781.4, et seq. |
| Membership Qualifications: |
Five members; three members shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors
and two members shall be appointed by the City Council of the City of Taft. |
| Term: |
Four-year staggered term. |
| Duties: |
To organize, promote, conduct and advertise programs of community recreation;
establish systems of recreation and recreation centers, including parks
and parkways and to acquire, construct, improve, maintain and operate recreation
centers. |
| Meeting Place and Time: |
At the Taft Community Center, 500 Cascade Place on the third Thursday
of each month at 6:00 P.M. |
