Lisa Green, a native of Buffalo, New York, graduated from Fresno State University in 1980 and attended the University of San Diego Law School, graduating in 1983. While in law school, Mrs. Green wrote for the Law Review, was a member of the Moot Court Board, and received the Order of Barrister Award. She joined the Kern County District Attorney's Office as a law clerk in 1983 and became a Deputy District Attorney upon passing the Bar exam in 1983. She has prosecuted over 110 felony trials, the majority of those cases involving homicides and sexual assaults. Mrs. Green was promoted to Supervising Deputy District Attorney in 2001. In 2009 was promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney, the first woman in Kern County to hold that position, and in 2010 she was elected to the position of District Attorney.

Scott Spielman attended Moorpark Junior College and Fresno State University after being honorably discharged in 1987 from the U.S. Army as a sergeant and a Military Policeman. After graduating from Fresno State University, Mr. Spielman attended and graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 1993. He joined the Kern County District Attorney's Office in 1994 and he has worked in the Misdemeanor, Preliminary Hearing, General Felony, Juvenile, Rural Crime and Special Prosecutions Units. Since 2006, he has also supervised the Special Prosecutions, Misdemeanor and Preliminary Hearing Units. He has prosecuted over 100 felony jury trials, with almost half of his trials involving murder, sexual assault or serious child abuse charges.

Mark Pafford, a Bakersfield native, graduated from Pepperdine University in 1993. Mr. Pafford graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 1996 with Great Distinction and received the Order of the Coif award. He joined the Kern County District Attorney's Office in 1998 after two years in civil practice. Mr. Pafford has worked in the Misdemeanor, Preliminary Hearing, Juvenile, Gang, White Collar, and Special Prosecution Units. In 2008 he was promoted to Supervisor where he supervised the Complaint Desk and General Felony Unit. He has prosecuted over 60 jury trials with the majority of his trials being gang and special prosecutions.

Chief Investigator Gregg E. Bresson came to the District Attorney's Office in 1985 after transferring from the Kern County Sheriff's Department where he had served since 1977. He was appointed Lieutenant in 2000 and Assistant Chief Investigator in 2007. His tenure with the Kern County Sheriff's Department included service in Metro Patrol, Sub-stations, and Training. Chief Bresson holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Bakersfield College and a Bachelor Of Science Degree from California State University-Fresno. Chief Bresson has also obtained a P.O.S.T Management certificate and is a graduate of the F.B.I National Academy.

Dr. Kevin Miller received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Cornell University, a Masters Degree in Veterinary Pathology from Virginia Tech, and a Doctorate Degree in Molecular Anthropology from Cambridge University in England. He has performed trace evidence, DNA and research work for the FBI Crime Lab and the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department Crime Lab. He was also the past Director of the Masters of Science and Forensic Science Degree Program at CSU Fresno. Dr. Miller has been working as the DNA Technical Lead in the Kern Regional Crime Lab since May 2011, and was appointed Laboratory Director in October 2011.

Scott Johnson is a graduate of California State University Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a concentration certificate in Real Estate. He joined the District Attorney's Office in 2010 with 10 years of County experience, which included 5 years of service in the Auditor/Controller's Office.
