Career Services Center

Since 1994, the Department of Human Services has been a partner in the Career Services Center (CSC). The CSC represents 13 government and community agencies, all working towards the same goal, offering an integrated job services delivery system throughout Kern County.

The Department of Human Services outstations Employment Social Workers, Job Development staff and Human Services Technicians at eight Career Services Centers within Kern County. Through the CSC, customers can receive a variety of job seeker services including; assistance with resume preparation, enhancing interview skills, job search workshops, Internet based job search, typing certificate issuance, job placement services, job training opportunities and employer recruitment events. The CSC also serves local business as a valued customer. Employers can receive help in planning job recruitments, with applicant screening, and with the use of our facilities for interviewing and recruitment activities. Through the partnership efforts of the Kern County Career Services Centers, over 5,000 job seekers secure employment each year.
