Celebrating the 62nd Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice
Please join us in celebrating the 62nd Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice on Monday, July 27th @ 10:00am. The ceremony will take place at Jastro Park, located at Truxtun and Myrtle Street, just East of Oak Street. Come join us in saluting those who served their country honorably. God Bless America!
Veterans Coffee & Donuts
On the 1st Tuesday of each month come share coffee and donuts with your fellow Veterans. On Tuesday, August 4th from 9:00 am to 11:00 at the Bakersfield Veterans Center, located at 1110 Golden State Avenue, you can take advantage of the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow Veterans of all ages; from the youngster coming back from the Middle East thru World War II. Come and enjoy a good cup of joe and a yummy donut. If you have any questions regarding this event, please call (661) 323-8387.
Fun on the Ice for all Veterans
Need a break from the heat? Come have some fun on the ice at the San Joaquin Community Hospital Ice Center on Saturday, August 15th from 4 - 7 pm; it's free for all VETERANS!. The ice center is located at 1325 Q Street, directly south of Rabobank Arena, near Maya Theater and in the same sub-division as McMurtrey Aquatic Center. Be sure to tell all your veteran friends!
