Kern veterans and your families: Let us serve you! If you served honorably in the military, thank you for your service and sacrifice for this country. Thank you also to the spouses and dependents who served along with you. Regardless of your era, your branch, your post or your assignment, you are likely entitled to state and federal veteran's benefits, and your dependents may also qualify for benefits.
Mission Statement: The goal of the Kern County Veterans Service Department remains the same today as when it was first established in 1944: to assist veterans, their dependents, and survivors to obtain the benefits they have earned as a result of their honorable military service.



Kern Patriot Partnership

To help connect veterans with jobs, Chevron USA has given the Kern County Veterans Service Department a $250,000 grant to help develop the Kern Patriot Partnership.

Honor Flight Breakfast

Serving begins at 9:00 am. Come early, visit and enjoy some coffee or juice. Open to all Honor Flight Veterans, Guardians and a guest.

First Annual Bird and Birdie Event

The Kern County Gun Club and Buena Vista Golf Course is hosting the First Annual Bird and Birdie event on Friday, March 27th at 8 am; it's a 4 person team - shoot, golf and lunch. All proceeds collected from this event will benefit the Honor Flight of Kern County as well as the Wounded Heroes Fund of Kern County.
