Trash

There are many landfills, transfer stations, drop-off sites and hazardous waste sites in Kern County where you can take your waste or recyclables. There are free or low cost options for waste that is not accepted or that could be subject to extra charges at the landfill, such as construction, demolition material, tires, hazardous waste, etc. The Waste Management Department owns and operates several of these facilities around Kern County. However, we DO NOT haul your garbage to these places.

If you live in a city boundary, please contact the city office directly for information on trash pick up or drop off locations. If you live in the County of Kern County, you have the following choices:
